Coyote v1.03 has been posted to the Vortech FTP and metalabs archive sites. A summary of the changes to this version can be found in the Change Log
The free version of Coyote has been updated to version 1.01. This is due to a couple of major bugs found in the scripts that are used by the distribution. A summary of the changes can be found in the Change Log. If you are using the free version of Coyote v1.0, it is highly recommended that you upgrade.
Coyote Linux is now available. You can order a copy of Coyote by visiting the order page on this site. Online orders, as well as mail orders are now begin taken for the commercial version of the CD.
Coyote is also freely available for download from ftp.vortech.net/pub/coyote. The freely available version includes everything except for the Windows configuration wizard. In place of the Windows wizard, a shell script has been added to aid in the creation of a Coyote boot disk.
The Coyote public demo went well and the master CD's have been cut. The planned release date for Coyote is 11/26/1999. The current price tag on the Windows configurable CD's is set at $49.95 with a build-it-yourself, free version to be posted on Vortech's FTP software archive site on 11/27/1999.
For those of you who ordered a copy in advance, the CD's will be available Friday at the Hard Drive Cafe in Akron.
Both the Free and Commercial versions include the full source code for the Linux system itself, as well as the GNU based code that was used to create some Linux compatible Windows libraries.
