Coyote Linux v1.31 Released

Coyote Linux v1.31 is available for download. This release fixes a few small bugs in the floppy creator script, adds ISDN support and has the start of a web administration utility.

New primary FTP site

The primary archive for Coyote Linux is being changed from ftp.vortech.net to ftp.coyotelinux.com. The original directory structure is going to remain intact for any of you that are mirroring the site. I will leave the Coyote Linux files on the ftp.vortech.net site as a mirror, but it will no longer be the "official" site. This change is do to the fact that Coyote Linux now has a server dedicated to hosting its site and file content.

Coyote Linux Disk Creator 2.0.3

A new release of the Windows disk creator is available. This version updates the resulting Linux system to contain a v2.2.19 kernel and fixes the problems with the DHCP server failing to start. The Windows disk creator files have also been added to the FTP site for those of you that are having trouble with the web download system.

Coyote Linux Disk Creator Update

The Coyote Linux Disk Creator for Windows has been updated to v2.0.2. This version includes some bug fixes for PPP dialup users and brings some of the init scripts into sync with the Linux release. Please note that this release is not packaged with Install Shield and is simply in "unzip and use" form... future versions will (once again) have an installer, but for now, there is none.

Information

Coyote Linux is a security-centric mini-distribution of Linux designed specifically to function as a network edge firewall and VPN server. Developed by Vortech Consulting, LLC, Coyote is tailored for users who prioritize safety and efficiency in their home networks while preferring a simplistic and minimal solution.

Originally launched in 1999 during an era when consumer internet routers were non-existent, Coyote Linux emerged from the need for effective internet sharing across home and small business networks.
