Embedded Coyote Distro Updates

The Embedded Coyote Linux distribution has advanced by leaps and bounds. I have been working very heavily on this new product and it is quickly nearing a usable state. If you would like to check out some of the progress being made, you can now download an automatically updated ISO installer image from the Vortech FTP site or from the Vortech File Download System. Links are provided from the Embedded Coyote Project Homepage.

Coyote v1.29 Repackaged

Coyote Linux v1.29 has been repackaged to fix a bug that prevented it from booting on most systems. The experimental support for a serial port console has been removed as it was the cause of the problems. If you downloaded v1.29 prior to May 28th, 2001, and it will not properly boot, try downloading it again and creating a new disk.

New web site and server

The Coyote Linux site is currently being transitioned over to the new site design and server. Please bear with me over the next day or two as portions of the site may be broken or missing. I am working as quickly as possible to make the site work as it should.

Beta testing the new web server

The web boards are currently being served up by a new web server that scheduled to replace the one that hosts this site. Due to the fact that this is beta-test period for this server, access to the online forums may be somewhat unreliable over the course of the next few days. If all goes well with the forums tests, I will switch over to the new server as well as the new site that is currently in development.
